HDR Photography: Color Images
Hi Gang,
Following up on Tuesdays post of BW images, today’s post features a variety of color HDR images all produced with Photomatix Pro. I’ve been experimenting with different light conditions, different effects. For example, in the Mickey’s shot I definitely wanted to see what would happen when motion was introduced across three exposures and NOT controlled for in Photomatix. I’ve learned a great deal about using Photomatix Pro, much of which I HAVEN’T found in other tutorials, so I’m considering one. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll start working on it. Enjoy the images and have a great weekend! If you have specific questions, ask them in the comment section where I can try to provide responses helpful to everyone.
HDR Photography: Black and White
Hi Gang, there is a lot going on around HDR photography, especially with the advent of software packages like Photomatix (and others). Much of the work I see out there is targeted toward surrealistic, super-graphic imaging. That is a direction I have yet to fall in love with. So, I’m sharing some work in two seperate posts that I consider more photorealistic. Since these labels really fall on a continuum, its probably fair to say the images do as well.
This first post illustrates a set of images in B&W using HDR. My personal goal in the B&W’s was to build TONAL RANGE, moving towards what film might have produced, or BETTER. The subject matter here is VERY MATURE, but easily available to practice on. Hope you enjoy and would love to hear your thoughts. The second image was shot last night, but that’s as far as I got before stumbling upon a 6-man drug deal going down behind the grain towers. Just sayin’…..
Technical: In all cases Singh Ray Warming Polarizer, 2-stop bracket (3 images total), ISO 100, f/10
