During the Shoot: Episode 3 Mason and Platon

Ever been called a copy cat? During low points in your creation process rely on being a copy cat to keep your drive alive. In this tutorial, Alec goes to work “copying” the studio portrait style of Platon. You’ll learn the how and why of a specific and simple studio lighting setup using strobe lights, softboxes and reflectors.

    Alec,

    Great technical information; I like the simplicity of the lighting setup. Make me think I could do a portrait setup. As for the “copycat idea”, I think becomes a motivational tool, and if it gets you started shooting your own creative self starts to get engaged.
